In an item in today's Wilkes-Barre Times Leader on embattled Majority Leader Todd Eachus, Baldino is shocked, shocked that Eachus is implicated in gubernatorial candidate Tom Corbett's bonusgate investigation:
“[Eachus]’s always struck me as very straightforward and hard-working individual. So the allegations surprised me. One of things that bothers me is they came late in the process and the people who are making the allegations are people who have essentially negotiated plea deals or will plead to lesser charges and are offering up other names. In turn, for offering allegations against other people, this is how they demonstrate to prosecutors they deserve a lighter sentence. If Eachus was a serious player or integral as to what was going on, why wasn’t he identified when (former state Rep. Mike) Veon and the others were announced as major defendants? It’s curious to me why Eachus’ name is just coming out now." (WB Times Leader 1/3/10)It goes without saying that we are surprised that a Northeast Pennsylvania political commentator who brags about his "expert commentary" would be surprised at revelations of criminality by a NEPA politician, but let's set that aside and compare Baldino's statement today with his "expert commentary" regarding former Senator Vince Fumo and criminal activity by other state senators:
"That begs the question of how pervasive some of this alleged activity might be, said Tom Baldino, a political science professor at Wilkes-Barre University in Luzerne County. 'If Fumo is convicted, it makes you wonder how many other senators knew of it, or minimally used staff in the same way,' said Baldino, who, like Fumo, grew up in South Philadelphia. 'It raises doubts of why someone didn't say anything about this behavior of Fumo.' (Tribune Review 2/25/09)Let's get this straight. Baldino is suspicious of Corbett's witnesses when Eachus is found culpable of using taxpayer resources for political campaigns, yet Fumo's conviction casts doubt on the ethical standards of every state senator?
Sounds like a case of NIMBY (not in my backyard) when it comes to Baldino and a politician that he knows personally. That is pretty amaturish. Come on, Professor...you've got to stay consistent if you want to be ranked up there with Dr. Terry Madonna.
If Baldino had kept up on things via CasablancaPA, he would have known that it isn't just Corbett's witnesses that put the finger on Eachus and that Eachus' problems haven't arisen "late in the process." Corbett had hundreds of incriminating emails that showed Eachus to be a "serious player" in House Democratic campaign activity, and Baldino would could have found many of them in the Veon motion from July of 2009 right here at CasablancaPA.
You don't have to have a PhD to get it. Legislators of both parties using taxpayer resources for political campaign purposes is pervasive and a practice that has been common since Ben Franklin was in the Speaker's Chair. Any commentator who feigns disbelief about it should immediately lose their "expert commentary" license and join Matt Haverstick in the Department of Cluelessness at the University of Self-Rightousness.
Excellent post by Team Casa!
ReplyDeleteIn a Court of Law, Experts are allow to testify but the Jury need not believe them, this is why other Experts are brought in to counter other Experts, it is a battle of which one can influence the Jury, but the Jury is under no obligation to believe them in anyway.
Much like the commentary put up by Team Casa, the guy has no knowledge of anything, and in America, and everybody is an expert on politics.
Good job Team Casa, exposing another fraud, hypocrite, and of course the OAG's interpretation of Campaign work on State Time.
Ben Fanklin would tar and feather Corbett and his Staff for such bias, unfairness, and outright law breaking on his own by misusing the laws for his political gain.
Exactly on point, AG Corbett has not follow up on one US Attorney finding on Fumo's actions in the senate that had other seanator doing the same thing.
ReplyDeleteIt is because of Corbett's close relationship with Bobby Jubelirer's Campaign Teams on State Time and Corbett's Staff and himself in the participation of those Campaigns.
Before, during, and after Habay!
Thank goodness, DA Zappala moved on the senators since Corbett has refused to do it.
Corbett is a Rogue Prosecutor doing many things wrongs to become Governor! He has ruined many lives and Karma will not permit him to succeed.
Soon, you hear the quote, "Why, Tommy Corbett! You look like somebody just walked over your political grave."
Corbett's response wll be someday, "It appears my hypocrisy knows no bounds."
Boy if Tommy Corbett the mighty Saint Mary's Law School Graduate of Texas made a puppet by Waste Management, woke up in 2010 New Year suffering from a hangover!
ReplyDeleteTommy Corbett called down the thunder, well now he has got it!
The Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General is full of incomptent people.
It would appear that the strain was more than they can now bear.
Poor souls like Krastek, he is just too high strung. Krastek has not yet begun to defile himself.
That's what I love about Corbett. He can talk himself into anything
Now that Allegheny District Attorney Steve Zappala (A Real Lawyer From A Good Law School) has enter the fight on the senate side, one could tell Corbett, "You gonna do something, or just stand there and bleed?"
Zappala Office Staff has spoken far louder in 6 weeks than Corbett's OAG in 4 years.
Zappala is saying, "From now on I see a senators campaigning on state time, I will indict the man or woman doing it. So run all you Republican Senator curs.
And tell the other Republican Senator curs the law is coming. You tell 'em I'm coming! And Hell's coming with me you hear! Hell's coming with me!
Law and order every time, that's us.
Boy revenge is sweet and CasablancaPA is making it all happen by just revealing what Corbett wanted covered up.
ReplyDeleteI wish I never get on the bad side of Veon's venom or Cott's clots. I can them both now.
"You indict first, so be it? Your friends might get me in a rush, but not before I make your head spin into a canoe, you understand me?"
Corbett and the entire OAG heads are spinning for cover now, blame is right on their backs, finger pointing is starting to happen, soon witnesses, and informants, and then watch how all those OAG Deputy Prosecutors Lawyer-Up and take the fifth until someone cops a plea to save himself.
Vegas odds 2 to 1 Fina turns on Corbett and Krastek.
The only people fighting the true fight is Team Casa now.
Skin that smokewagon and see what happens Hey, Brett!
How the hell are you now Corbett? Team Casa, Zappala, and the Media got your guys in a little crossfire called the truth. How you like that?
Make no mistake, It's not revenge they are after....It's a reckoning.
Why Tommy Corbett, Mad Cap... Where'ya going with those Judges
ReplyDeleteLeases?
A recent conversation somewhere between Allentown and Pittsburgh maybe near Attona over the Christmas Holidays,,,,Bob, what an ugly thing to say. I abhor ugliness... does this mean we're not friends anymore?"
ReplyDeleteYou know, Bob, if I thought you weren't my friend, I just don't think I could bear it. There. Now we can be friends again?
Bob response,,,,"Maybe Grand Juries prosecutions just isn't your game, Tom. I know! Let's have a spelling contest!
Tom response,,,,"Very cosmopolitan, now go weave a circle round your Judge thrice, And close your eyes with holy dread, For thee on honey-dew hath fed, And drunk the milk of Political Paradise. Look, darlin'. Bobby Jubelirer. The deadliest political fundraiser on State Time since Sarah Palin, they say
Bob's response,,,Oh...Tommy, I apologize, I forgot you were there... You may go now Forgive me if I don't shake hands."
Tom said,,,"I don't know, there's just something about him. Something around the eyes. Reminds me of... Me. Nope, now I'm sure of it. I hate him."
Bob ends the conversations,,,"I see you got two phones... One for each of ya.
I got two memories and many recordings that went from both of those phones on state time.
"See ya at the AA Meeting, you know alcohol is a defense against criminal specific intent."
I won't fight you, Tommy. There's no money in it.
It is spelled "hypocrit". Learn to spell if you want people to take you seriously, dum-dum.
ReplyDeleteDr. Baldino, it appears the prime witness against Rep. Eachhus is former staffer John Paul Jones, who is neither charged nor the recepient of a plea bargain. So much for expertise.
ReplyDeleteI've seen the suggestion before, and I think its a good one, that this site (or better yet the mainstream press) do a story identifying what each staffer "did" that was "illegal" who is still on the legislative payroll admited to doing, who they are employed by and what they make. For example, apparently Steve Webb by his own testimony lied to a grand jury (obstruction of justice and perjury) and did political work on state payroll and knowingly got a bonus for it, etc. Who is keeping him on state payroll? Same with Steiner, Bliss, Andrews, Sloane, etc. Boith GOP and Dems. Btw, doesn't Dermody (and btw McCall and DeWeese) still have a bunch of these folks on their personal legislative payrolls? Also, have all staffers who were indicted treated the same? Did each lose their job? Did any get paid out accumulated vacation/sick time?

Yep, Tombstone is as impressive as the Presentments, go Mike Veon!
Corbett is Sheriff Behan!
Thanks to DA Zappala, Sen Orie is under the looking glass, do you think Sen Ward (R-Westmoreland) and her chief of staff are conducting any political activity out of her state offices? Rumor is she and her boy toy Rob are busy recruiting candidates for House races throughout SW PA.
ReplyDeleteIt is clear now Tom Corbett’s Runaway Grand Jury Hearings run by Tony Krastek under the direction of Frank Fina has started a Political Witch Hunt now blowing back on not just the Pennsylvania Senate but coming right towards the Pennsylvania Judiciary.
ReplyDeleteCorbett and his minions thought they would be clever and just remove the top House leadership in Steler, Veon, Deweese, and Eachus.
Did the same to the lone Republican Leadership office Holder in Former Speaker John Perzel.
Yet, Corbett refused to investigate his close friends the Senate Leadership in Jubelirer and Brightbill since they lost their elections. The other Democratic leader Fumo was taken out by a Corbett Politicall Allie.
Now Corbett ignores the law breaking practices of Senator Jane Orie and all the Republican Judicial Candidates that won alleged illegally just this past November and will become Pennsylvania Statewide Judges tomorrow.
This has been planned, these are not coincidences, and no one can be that incompetent of needing 4 years to investigate only 25 people.
While letting 100’s get not just Don’t Go To Jail Passes but no invstigations on you, for doing the same things and accend to leadership like Krastek close friend Frank Dermody.
Now that the Email Unconstitutionally acquisition may be, eliminated as evidence that will make these cases mute by the same Judiciary to stop further investigations.
It is clear Corbett now will be happy if this can stop his investigations and after the Guilty Pleas this week.
Corbett wasted millions in taxpayer’s dollars on this Witch-Hunt and knows he as been exposed and would love it all to stop and go away from Judiciary Rulings.
Good people need to stand up to these Political Tactics taken from Nazi Political Blue Book Practices.
Just like when Hitler’s Brown Shirts burned down the Reichstag and blamed the communists and other political opponents.
The German Judiciary found every Defendant except for a mentally challenged Foreign Dutch Janitor that confessed he was forced to light the Brown Shirts planned inferno, and quickly hung.
When the German Judiciary in 1933 acquitted all others, Hitler removed the Judges and placed his own on the bench. Corbett and the Republicans are doing the same thing.
DA Zappala own Grand Jury on the Republican Senate and Republican Judges illegal acts as defined by AG Corbett and his henchmen, have comeback on them now.
Corbett and those that planned these political Witch Hunts will not get away with evil ambitions built on what he knows to be falsehoods and making normal campaign activity into illegal charges he cannot prove before fair-minded juries.
Here is hoping Mike Veon and all current Defendants fighting the good fight for the truth and American Way are found innocence

A Federal Grand Jury is going to have to handle the investigation of the Pennsylvania Senate.
However, remember it was Frank Dermody that took out Supreme Court Rolf Larsen so he would not become Chief Justice reversing his election by the people.
Frank Dermody is now in position to assume Majority Leader and Speakers, due his close friend Deputy AG Tony Krastek.

State Representative Frank Dermody, D-Oakmont, has been tapped as Majority Whip by his peers.
(YEP, HE GOT THE SUPPORT FROM LAWMAKERS THAT DON'T SHOW UP TO VOTE)
Dermody, a former Allegheny County prosecutor, says his election sends a message that the party wants a clean break from recent Bonusgate scandals.
YEP, ESPECIALLY AFTER HIS BEST FRIEND TONY KRASTEK PROSECUTED THE LEADERSHIP ABOVE DERMODY AND DID NOT INVESTIGATE DERMODY KRASTEK FORMER CO-WORKER?)
"The issues of the size of the legislature, campaign finance reform and how we conduct our business down there I think have to be looked at," Dermody said. "People talk about expenses.
(YEP, HOW ABOUT DEDUCTING PAY AND BENEFITS WHEN LAWMAKERS LIKE DERMODY DO NOT SHOW UP TO VOTE AND BEING ASSENT ON THE JOB BEACUSE YOU ARE WORKING ELSEWHERE AND BEING SUBSIDIZED BY GREED SMITH?)
I believe there are ways to reign in what we do and what the caucus spends also. We've got to look at staff, how much staff we have and how we can best economize also."
(YEP, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOUR OWN STAFFERS AND YOURSELF ARE ON THE EMAILS THAT SHOW WORKING ON STATE TIME WITH THE SAME PEOPLE BEING CHARGED BY YOUR GOOD FRIEND TONY KRASTEK)
But despite the public's view, he told KDKA Political Editor Jon Delano that most legislators are not corrupt.
(YEP, ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT NEVER SHOW UP ON THE JOB LIVING OFF HIS WIFE’S GREED SMITH SALARY AND BIG CONTRIBUTORS TO TOM CORBETT'S CAMPAIGNS THAT EXPLOITS THE LITTLE PEOPLE TO PROTECT THE BIG PEOPLE)
"There are some folks who have done wrong, and that's inexcusable.
(YOU MEAN, TOM CORBETT, TONY KRASTEK AND GREED SMITH OR WHEN YOU DO IT TOO AND BENEFIT FROM IT BUT NEVER INVESTIGATED?)
People should expect the highest standards from their elected officials," Dermody said.
(SO WHERE IS DERMODY STANDARD BY NOT SHOWING UP TO VOTE? WHERE IS HIS HONESTY IN BEING A PART-TIME LAWMAKERS, IS IT SO EASY FOR HIM BECAUSE HE IS CONNECTED THE THE SAME PEOPLE THAT PROSECUTED OTHERS SO HE COULD BE PUT IN THEIR PLACE?)
"All corrupt? No, absolutely not.
(HOW CAN YOU TAKE MONEY FROM THE STATE, NOT SHOW UP ON THE JOB, AND BE PART OF HDCC RE-ELECTION CAMPAIGN EMAILS, AND NOT BE INVESTIGATED BY THE OAG? NOW THAT IS TRUE CORRUPTION WHEN ONE DOES NOT SHOW UP FOR A JOB WITH STATE MONEY AND BENEFITS AND NOT BE INVESTIGATED)
I work with some of the finest people I've ever met."
(ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT TONY KRASTEK AT THE OAG OR MIKE VEON? OR BOTH? OR IS IT TOM CORBETT AND DREED SMITH?)
Representative Dermody says most legislators should know how to separate their legislative work from their political campaigns.
(YEAH, BE CLOSE TO THE INVESTIGATORS SO THEY INVESTIGATE THE PEOPLE ABOVE YOU THAT SHOW UP AND WORK, AND THEN SAY YOU ARE FOR REFORMS, THEN YOU WERE PART OF THE CORRUPTION?)
"You have to raise money. I don't like it. It's my least favorite part of this business, but if you want to survive, you have to.
(ONE PHONE CALL TO GREED SMITH AND THEN PUSH FOR MERIT SELECTION OF JUDGES INSTEAD OF ELECTIONS BY THE PEOPLE AND YOU HAVE ALL THE MONEY YOU NEED, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU ARE NOT DOING YOUR JOB FOR CITIZENS BUT ARE TRHERE FOR THE ELITES?)
"But you do it elsewhere, you do it on your own time, and you do it outside of your legislative office. That's easy.
(YEP, JUST LIVE OFF YOUR WIFE’S SALARY THAT BENEFITS HER LAW FIRM BY WORK YOU DO FOR HER LAW FIRM, AND MISS VOTES ON EVERYTHING ELSE? IT IS EASY WHEN YOU ONLY USE THE LEGISLATION FOR YOUR SELFISH PURPOSES OF THE POWERFUL NOT BE THERE FOR THE CITIZENS THAT ELECTED YOU TO DO A JOB AND YOU CANNOT SHOW UP TO DO IT?)
It really isn't difficult at all, and you have to understand that's just the way it has to be," he said.
(SO, IF YOU CANNOT SHOW UP FOR THE JOB, WHY NOT QUIT AND DO SOME HONEST WORK FOR A CHANGE AND QUIT BEING A HYPOCRITE)

Because it is a way to change Leadership and removeold Leadeship that would not abandon the Principles of the Constitution.
Corbett ran a Runaway Grand Jury and selected only those he wanted to remove.
Now he is upset it is happening to Republicans and hehas no control over it anymore...so he wants to all go away now that his friends are poised to take over.
CasablancaPA has been right all along!

What price salvation?
I'll tell you that price, CORBETT'S CAMPAIGN SLOGAN FOR 2010,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
NO DONATION NO SALVATION!
In the words of Deputy Attorney General Frank Fina,,,,,," "There's no ledger for politics in the crimes code...."Literally, the direction is: There's the Crimes Code. If someone's violating it, put it before the grand jury and see where it goes,,,,,Anybody who violated the law is going to get it," Fina said.
So when is Bob Jubelirer, Jane Orie, Frank Dermody and Tom Corbett going to get it Frank???
All Campaign Directions are pointing bcak at Corbett and Friends?
